Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Red Bull Collaboration Items Offer Minor Buffs For Both Protagonists

Assassin’s Creed Shadows players can take part in a simple quiz that rewards them with a trinket for each of the two protagonists.

Ubisoft and Red Bull have revealed the special collaboration items that will be available in upcoming open world game Assassin’s Creed Shadows. As caught by Games Radar, fans can take part in a quiz which rewards them with special Red Bull-themed items that can be used in the game.

The results of the quiz themselves don’t really matter, and players will be able to get the Red Bull Medallion Trinket and Red Bull Wooden Plaque Trinket regardless of how well they performed. On completing the quiz, players will get access to the in-game items through a code they get through their email.

Both of the Red Bull-themed items offer minor in-game bonuses for players. The Red Bull Medallion Trinket gives players a 3 percent boost in affliction buildup on enemies that have more than half of their health remaining. The Wooden Plaque Trinket, on the other hand, restores 2 percent of the player’s health every time they successfully dodge.

Both of the Red Bull items are also character-specific, with the Medallion Trinket being exclusively usable by Naoe, and the Wooden Plaque Trinket being exclusively for Yasuke.

The quiz itself is incredibly simple. It features eight questions about Assassin’s Creed Shadows, including basic ones like the names of the upcoming title’s two protagonists, as well as various aspects of the story that have been announced by Ubisoft.

While Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ March 20 release date is slowly creeping up on us, Ubisoft recently unveiled the various achievements that players will be able to earn during their time with the game. There is quite a bit of variety in the achievements, ranging from simple story-related ones that track the player’s progress, to ones that encourage more experimental gameplay, like using a breathing reed to hide in shallow waters to escape conflict.

Reviews for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are rumoured to be slated for release on March 18, and various sources have indicated that development on the game is “pretty much done”. While Ubisoft hasn’t yet confirmed any official figures, rumours have also indicated that pre-orders for the upcoming title are currently sitting at around 300,000.

Ubisoft itself has been optimistic about Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Back in February, the company revealed that pre-orders for the titles were “tracking solidly”, and that its figures have been lining up with pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – the second most successful title in the franchise.

Leading up to its release, Ubisoft also released a trailer showcasing some of the features that will be available in the PC release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. These features include support for Intel’s upscaling and frame generation technology like XeSS 2, as well as ray tracing features that can be used in beefier systems.

More niche PC features like ultrawide displays will also be supported, along with dynamic resolution scaling for systems that might have more trouble in maintaining stable frame rates. The company has also previously revealed the minimum and recommended PC hardware for playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
