Like Hazelight Studios previous titles, the upcoming co-op game will allow two players to play together with one purchased copy.
Split Fiction has shown increasingly promise with each showing since its announcement in December, as you’d expect from a Hazelight Studios game, and the hype machine is continuing to do its thing. As the co-op action-adventure title’s release draws nearer, publisher EA has released another new trailer, this time highlighting a beloved Hazelight tradition.
Hazelight has always sold its co-op titles with what it calls the Friend’s Pass, which allows two players to play a game with just one purchased copy. Friend’s Pass is, much to everyone’s delight, making a return with Split Fiction as well, with support for cross-platform play also confirmed- which means someone who, say, buys Split Fiction on a PS5 will be able to invite a friend on Xbox Series X/S to play with them. Check out the trailer below for a primer on just how it will work.
Split Fiction went gold close to a month ago, and launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 6.
