Perfect Dark Job Listing Could Indicate Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 Versions

The Initiative seeks a Principal Graphics Engineer to optimize and scale the title for “multiple platforms and quality settings.”

The rumor mill has been buzzing with reports of Microsoft’s first-party titles coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Thus far, the list consists of Fable, Starfield, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and more. It seems fans can add The Initiative’s Perfect Dark to the list.

A listing for Principal Graphics Engineer at The Initiative went live on January 22nd (as spotted by @eXtas1stv). One of the responsibilities includes the ability to “Optimize and ensure the scalability of the rendering features to support multiple platforms and quality settings” for Perfect Dark.

It’s not confirmation since the stealth action shooter is coming to PC alongside Xbox Series X/S. You can also expect the latter to have different settings to prioritize performance and quality. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting, especially with Microsoft’s other titles allegedly coming to the Switch 2 and PS5.

Stay tuned for updates and potential announcements in the coming months, especially with the Switch 2 Direct scheduled for April. Microsoft recently announced Forza Horizon 5 for PS5 this Spring, and it’s also allegedly coming to Nintendo’s upcoming console.
