Available on May 6th for Free Comic Book Day, the comic will see Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Mary Jane battling The Hood.
Insomniac Games is still cooking with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, asking for a “little more patience” regarding new gameplay. In the meantime, it’s teaming up with Marvel for a prequel comic to celebrate Free Comic Book Day on May 6th.
The comic will see Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson facing The Hood, a hero whose abilities are rooted in magic. It will also showcase how the two heroes balance their daily lives with crime fighting. There will be details on Miles’ life in school, MJ’s career as a journalist and what Peter does with some of his new-found free time.
Christo Gage, who wrote Marvel’s Spider-Man, and artist Ig Guara are working on the comic, which will be available in select comic book stores and digitally via Marvel Unlimited and Marvel.com on May 6th. As for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, it’s out this Fall, exclusively for PS5. Venom voice Tony Todd said there would be “massive publicity” in August, with the sequel targeting a September release (which VGC corroborated).
An announcement could be in-bound at the next PlayStation Showcase, rumored for this month.
