This year’s event, which is celebrating The Game Awards’ 10th anniversary, is going to be a packed one, it’s being claimed.
The Game Awards are less than a week away now, which means the coming days will bring new details on some of the games we can expect to see featured at the event. Ahead of that, however, early whispers are suggesting that this year’s show will have particularly big announcements.
VGC journalist Andy Robinson recently took to Twitter to suggest the same, stating that he was “expecting a VERY big Game Awards next week”. When asked if he was hinting at potential major announcements or merely guessing, Robinson wrote, “Definitely not a guess.”
Interestingly, The Verge’s Tom Warren seems to be corroborating the aforementioned claims. Quoting Robinson’s initial tweet regarding a packed Game Awards this year, Warren stated he was expecting similar things.
So far, little is known about what The Game Awards, set for December 12, will bring this year, though recent leaks have claimed that It Takes Two developer Hazelight Studios will unveil its next game, Split Fiction.
