The character creator is available with no limits placed, and also allows players to carry over their creations into the full game.
To celebrate Dragon Age Day, BioWare has not only released a new patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard that adds cosmetics based on Dragon Age 2 protagonist Hawke, the studio has also taken a step that many had hoped it would prior to the action RPG’s launch earlier this year.
Prior to release, there were questions about whether The Veilguard’s character creator will be made available on its own to everyone for free, similar to what Dragon’s Dogma 2 did earlier this year, and though BioWare and EA didn’t take that step pre-launch, they are doing so now.
In a blog post, BioWare has confirmed that the character creator is now available standalone for free and features zero limits, which means you get to use its full and extensive creation and customization toolsets to your heart’s content. Once you’re done, you’ll also be able to carry over the Rook you’ve created into the full game (but only on the same platform).
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
