Driveloop coming to PC Q2 2025

Driveloop

Drift, ram and shoot your way through post-apocalyptic cityscapes and take on Steampunk-inspired mechanical hordes in Driveloop, a vehicle-based survivor-like careering onto Steam next year!

November 25, 2024 – Independent studio Stunbyte is excited to take the brakes off the news that its fast-paced survivor-like top-down shooter Driveloop will be racing onto Steam in April 2025. Promising an adrenaline-pumping blend of vehicular combat, strategic customisation, and post-apocalyptic locales, players can look forward to drifting, ramming, and shooting through waves of mechanical enemies, all in the name of survival.

Driveloop challenges players to take the wheel of an art-deco-inspired futuristic fighting machine in a post-apocalyptic playground of destruction. Players can supe up their ride through a range of abilities and weapons or by recruiting new crew members to ride and die alongside them and equip essential upgrades and repairs. Look forward to synergising equipment combos to unlock the devastating potential of the ultimate combat machine on four wheels.

Explore decayed city environments from Berlin’s sun-bleached desert to Paris’s urban jungle, each with strategic layouts, obstacles, and hazards, and face off against a variety of relentless enemies, from swarming minions to heavily armoured mechanical beasts. Confront massive bosses in cinematic battles, requiring precise timing and strategic use of your vehicle’s bespoke abilities.

With visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, the Stunbyte team has created a well-balanced combination of graphical fidelity and smooth performance without sacrificing one or the other. That means even with thousands of enemies on screen, the Driveloop experience never misses a gear shift.

Borja Fernandez at Stunbyte said: “Our passion for roguelikes and survivor-style games inspired us to explore fresh ground in a genre we love. Creating a game we genuinely wanted to play has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.”

Key Features:
