Unlock the “Veteran” Rifle and “Tourist” Suit early for a better chance at survival when GSC Game World’s sequel launches November 20th.
GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is less than two weeks away and feels bittersweet after all the delays and ordeals that the developer has faced. A new Steam Community post outlines the bonuses available for those who pre-order, including the “Veteran” Rifle and “Tourist” Suit.
Based on the “early bird” part of the promotional image, these items appear to be available in the game, with pre-ordering simply unlocking them quicker. The “Veteran” Rifle, likely named after the second-most skilled tier of Stalkers roaming the Zone, is essentially a Gvintar rifle with custom attachments and a Gieger counter to help identify lethal radiation.
The “Tourist” Suit can survive the Zone’s “harshest environments”, particularly the heavily-contaminated Red Forest. You also get a “Stalker” Backpack with a stylized Early Bird patch. The most unique bonus is perhaps the campfire content, with more guitar tunes and stories from other Stalkers to listen to while resting at campfires.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl arrives on November 20th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s also available day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
