Battle the Realmwalkers spawning in each region and venture into the Seething Realm to slay monsters for new potent Elixirs.
Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred is out in about four days alongside Update 2.0, which brings multiple changes to progression, difficulty tiers, and end-game activities. It also marks the start of Season 7, Hatred Rising, where players battle against the Realmwalkers.
Created by Mephisto, these towering threats venture across a region, spawning enemies. Defeating the Bloodhound Guardians is necessary to reduce its health during an invulnerability phase. You also need to destroy Hatred Spires and finish it off. Each region will see a Realmwalker spawn every 15 minutes, with a second popping up in Nahantu, the new region coming in the expansion.
Of course, destroying the spires doesn’t end the challenge. Once that’s done, you must enter the Seething Realm, taking out monsters and eventually reaching the Realm Gate for a Seething Opal. The latter are new Elixirs, which increase experience by 15 percent and provide other benefits for 30 minutes.
There are five in total, and they require materials to obtain. The Seething Opal of Torment Challenges also can’t be yours unless the difficulty is Torment 1 or higher. Meanwhile, the Seething Opal of Socketables is only available to expansion owners on Penitent difficulty or higher in a Seething Realm based in Nahantu.
As you defeat Realmwalkers, a new NPC, Crusader Damond, offers a quest and new rewards. He can be found in Zarbinzet, Hawezar, though you must either finish the campaign or skip it to start the quest.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred launches on October 8th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
