Pearl Abyss showcases new, extended gameplay footage of its upcoming open world action-adventure title, which is in development for PC and consoles.
The wildly ambitious Crimson Desert has looked increasingly promising each time developer Pearl Abyss has shown it off, and hot on the heels of having showcased abundant new gameplay footage of boss fights at Gamescom last month, the developer has now offered another extended look at its upcoming open world action-adventure game, courtesy of a video uploaded by IGN.
The video shows off over 52 minutes of gameplay footage, encompassing a number of quests, a fair bit of combat, open world exploration, and several different locations, from forests and quaint villages to dense towns and more. If you’re looking to get a better sense of the scale of Crimson Desert’s world, its style of storytelling, and the sort of world that it is crafting, this video does a good job of illustrating all of that. You can view it in full below.
Crimson Desert is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It doesn’t yet have a release date, but previous leaks have claimed that the game is targeting a Q1 2025 launch.
