The upcoming DLC will take players to “a magical miniature clockwork world where a plethora of oddities and wonders await.”

After confirming earlier this year that it had started full production on story DLC for Sea of Stars, developer Sabotage Studio later confirmed that more details would be arriving soon, and those details are now here. At Nintendo’s recent Indie World Showcase, Sabotage unveiled its acclaimed turn-based RPG’s upcoming story DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker.

Throes of the Watchmaker will take players to Horloge, which is described as “a magical miniature clockwork world where a plethora of oddities and wonders await”. Players will be tasked with rescuing a cursed carnival that threatens the lives of trapped civilians, with Valere and Zale also being able to use new abilities and mechanics. A new playable character will also be introduced, and you can, of course, expect new locations to explore, new dungeons to tackle, and more. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point in Spring 2025. It will be free for all players.
