Players will be able to choose between one of two appearance options for the protagonist in the upcoming remake.
With Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake finally looking like it’s within touching distance, Square Enix is continuing the rollout of new details on the RPG to continuing generating excitement in the lead-up to its November launch. Alongside revealing new gameplay footage and details through previews, the company has also offered a look at the remake’s take on the protagonist.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will, just as the original game did, allow you to play as one of two different variants of the protagonist, Erdrick. Though the original tied them to choosing your gender, the remake will not, instead simply calling the two options Type A and Type B. Square Enix has revealed key art for what both will look like, which you can check out below.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake launches on November 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with Dragon Quest 1 and 2 HD-2D Remake following on the same platforms sometime in 2025.
