For those who bought Modern Warfare 3, you might have noticed when downloading it that it essentially got absorbed by the Call of Duty Warzone launcher (app). Well, it seems that’ll be the case again when Black Ops 6 gets released later this year.
This was spotted on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Steam file (via Mysterious_Ad7559), where you can plainly see it tagged as “DLC” in the app type.
This is honestly not surprising, and chances are, moving forward, every Call of Duty game will be the same way. Having said that, the game’s file size is already gargantuan given we keep adding to Warzone, the current year’s Call of Duty game and so on. Hopefully, Activision has data compression plans when releasing their patches. Just imagine how much space the last-gen version is going to need in order to have this, Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 in one console.
Expect new teasers and whatnot from Activision leading up to the Call of Duty Direct happening on June 10.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has no release date just yet but it is confirmed for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
