Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is leaning into its conspiratorial themes with its most recent teaser trailer.
Activision has released a new trailer for its next major title in the Call of Duty franchise—Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The trailer taps into some of the Black Ops franchise’s conspiratorial leanings, by showing live action footage of various American TV clips.
Interestingly, the teaser features multiple leaders from major conflicts, including Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr., and Saddam Hussein, which would indicate that some of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 might take place during the ’90s during the Gulf War, which is in line with what multiple previous leaks have claimed. The teaser also hints that Frank Woods might be coming back, with a reference to the character with a clip from a show dubbed Frank’s Woods.
Another trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, dubbed The Truth Lies, is slated for release in 18 hours, and will be a live action trailer. This likely means that it will focus more on the upcoming game’s story and characters rather than gameplay.
Activision unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 earlier this month. The game is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with some rumours also indicating a release on PS4 and Xbox One. A global reveal of the shooter is planned for June 9.
