“It all starts next week as we optimize leading up to launch and beyond,” says VP of Xbox marketing, Aaron Greenberg.
2024 is looking like a packed year for Microsoft, and though the majority of the company’s first-party releases are likely planned for the back half of the year, one of the more prominent ones is not that far away. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is set to launch in under three weeks’ time, and ahead of its release, starting next week, Microsoft will be kicking its marketing campaign into gear.
Taking to Twitter, Xbox’s VP of marketing Aaron Greenberg recently dropped teases of Microsoft’s upcoming “big global and regional marketing plans to support Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.” According to Greenberg, said plans will kick off next week, and will entail the game’s media campaign, brand partnerships, and more. Apparently, Microsoft also as a “special activation from Iceland” (which is where the game is set) planned, though it remains to be seen exactly what that’ll turn out to be.
In the meantime, developer Ninja Theory has also said it’ll be sharing one new thing on Hellblade 2 every day on Twitter leading up to its release. So far, the developer has revealed a new gameplay screenshot, an image showcasing the PC version’s ultrawide resolution, and the game’s full PC requirements.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 launches on May 21 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
