PO’ed: Definitive Edition will feature all the quality-of-life improvements you would expect from a modern Nightdive remaster of a classic shooter.
Nightdive Studios—a studio that is making a name for itself thanks to its handling of classic action games through excellent remasters and remakes—has announced a new remaster of 1995 first-person shooter PO’ed. Appropriately dubbed PO’ed: Definitive Edition, the remaster will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
PO’ed: Definitive Edition currently doesn’t have a release date. There is, however, a trailer you can check out below, showcasing the classic shooter’s old-school aesthetics, visuals, and gameplay. As the trailer comically points out, the original title wasn’t exactly critically-acclaimed, but it does manage to have enough charm and unique ideas to warrant exploration again through a new remaster.
The game puts players in the shoes of the cook of a spaceship that has been hijacked by aliens. Since your crewmates have also been kidnapped, it’s up to you to grab your jetpack and rocket launcher and get revenge.
