The remake is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and is currently without a release date.
The Metal Gear franchise is inching closer to its return to the limelight with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a ground-up remake of the series’ beloved third instalment, and though Konami has been frustratingly silent about the game and what to expect from it, it seems like more details on it are expected to arrive in the near future.
Konami recently kicked off a series of videos starring David Hayter, best known as the voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss, in which he talks through the series’ history and its legacy. The first episode in the series (which you can view below) goes the way you would expect it to, but it ends with Hayter confirming that future episodes will be shedding more light on the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
“Coming up, we’ll delve into the epic, long-awaited remake of what many fans consider to be the best game in the entire franchise,” Hayter says before signing off.
What level of detail these videos will go into is, of course, the big question, but given how little Konami has spoken about the remake since announcing it, fans will probably take anything at this point.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Konami has yet to officially announce a release date for the game, but earlier this year, PlayStation said it would be launching in 2024.
