Moon Studios’ co-founder Gennadiy Korol says the team “did not want offline play to feel like a second thought” in the action RPG.

For those burned by Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Nightingale with their lack of offline options, there’s some good news. Moon Studios’ co-founder and tech/production director Gennadiy Korol revealed on Twitter that action RPG No Rest for the Wicked won’t require an online connection for single-player.

“Even though Wicked was built from the ground up with multiplayer in mind, we did not want offline play to feel like a second thought, and we want people to be able to play on the go when connection quality is not always ideal.” Furthermore, it will have a “rich” offline mode, but what that could entail has yet to be confirmed.

No Rest for the Wicked is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. However, it will enter Steam Early Access on April 18th. The campaign’s first chapter will be playable alongside the Cerim Crucible dungeon, daily and weekly bounties and challenges, and boss fights. Players can also partake in different quests and acquire various weapons, armor sets and skills.

The first early access update will add multiplayer, though there’s no release date. Co-op supports up to four players, and there’s also PvP.
