A year and a half after its initial announcement, Age of Mythology: Retold now has an official release window.
Microsoft has announced that Age of Mythology: Retold will be coming to PC and Xbox in 2024. In light of the announcement, the PC version of the game is now also available to wishlist on Steam. The release window announcement came with a new trailer, which you can check out below.
The trailer, clocking in at over 4 minutes, was presented by art director Melinda Rose, who went on to showcase some of the new assets for units coming to Age of Mythology: Retold, such as Medusa, Pegasus, and Cerberus. The trailer caps things off by showing off the new cover art for Age of Mythology: Retold.
Originally announced back in October 2022 when Microsoft was celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Age of Empires franchise, Age of Mythology: Retold is set to be an expanded remaster of the original in the vein of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition.
Age of Mythology: Retold got a trailer back when it was originally announced, which doesn’t reveal any gameplay or new visuals for the upcoming title.
