Updates spotted on the game’s Steam page’s backend might be pointing to an imminent demo.
The first few weeks of 2024 have been packed full of major new releases (and a couple of big surprises that came out of nowhere), and the coming weeks look like they’re going to keep that momentum going. Of the games lined up for launch in the near future though, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is perhaps among the biggest ones, and it seems like players might soon get the chance to dip their toes in its waters before the full game launches.
As spotted by a user on Reddit, as per Dragon’s Dogma 2’s SteamDB page, updates made to the action RPG’s Steam page’s backend suggest that Capcom might be gearing up to release a demo, with one of the updates having the “free on demand” billing type.
Capcom is, of course, a company that tends to release pre-launch demos for the vast majority of its games, especially when it comes to its larger, flagship releases, so a demo of Dragon’s Dogma 2 wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest. How soon it will arrive and what its scope will be remains to be seen- assuming, of course, that it does arrive.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will launch on March 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
