The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gameplay Showcase Announced for March 28th

Series producer Eiji Aonuma will host the roughly 10-minute-long showcase. The game is out on May 12th for Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo has announced a gameplay showcase for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for March 28th at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET on YouTube. It will feature series producer Eiji Aonuma and run for roughly 10 minutes. The image of Aonuma with a controller nearby seems to indicate he’ll be playing whatever is showcased.

Announced at E3 2019, Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and features floating islands, new enemies, new abilities for Link to use, and even vehicles that he can create and ride. There’s a lot unknown, but Aonuma said it would have “new gameplay that will bring about changes to the game world.” Players will explore the world in an “unknown” state, which we’ll hopefully learn more about tomorrow.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12th for Nintendo Switch. It will cost $70, Nintendo’s first title to adopt this price tag, though Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser says it “reflects the type of experience fans can expect.” It’s also the largest Switch title with its 18.2 GB file size.
