A new Exotic Strand bow, the Riven’s Lair activity, new story missions, the return of The Citadel in Crucible and more are available now.
Season of the Wish, Bungie’s final season for Destiny 2, is now available. It’s the culmination of a story begun since Lightfall, with players returning to the Dreaming City to bargain with Riven, the Ahamkara. Check out the launch trailer below.
Along with new story missions rolled out weekly, the season adds a new Exotic Strand bow, a new activity in Riven’s Lair (which appears laden with traps) and The Citadel map for Crucible. The Fireteam Finder will have a stress test on November 30th, a beta in December, and launch in late January 2024 if things go according to plan.
Meanwhile, Lightfall + Annual Pass and Dungeon Key owners can partake in Warlord’s Ruin, which goes live on December 1st. The Dawning returns on December 12th, while Moments of Triumph and Wishes arrive in February 2024. There’s Guardian Games in March, followed by a two-month update, Into the Light, for all players in April. The latter will prepare players for The Final Shape.
The expansion is launching on June 4th, 2024, with new details and gameplay coming in April. Director Joe Blackburn admits the team has been “holding some cards close to our chest on this one.”
