Animated by Powerhouse Animation and with music by Tee Lopes, the opening showcases an epic battle in Eggman’s dreamscape.
Sega and Sonic Team have released the opening animation for Sonic Dream Team, its Apple Arcade-exclusive platformer that’s out next month. Directed by Tyson Hesse and animated by Powerhouse Animation with music by Tee Lopes, it sees Sonic, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Cream and Rouge battling against Eggman and his latest schemes. Check it out below.
Unlike previous titles where Eggman relied on technology, he has The Reverie, which can turn dreams into reality. As a result, players have to venture into his dreams and ultimately stop him. The gameplay resembles more of a 3D action platformer, compared to the recent Sonic Superstars, with different movement types depending on the character.
Sonic Dream Team launches on December 5th and will be playable on iOS, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Sega hasn’t announced plans to release it on other platforms, though it could happen eventually.
