Destiny: Rising is Coming to Android, iOS on August 28, Pre-Registrations Are Now Live

Destiny: Rising will include the sorts of game modes that fans of the series have come to know and love, from PvP to PvE missions.

NetEase Games has that its new game, Destiny: Rising, is coming to iOS and Android, is slated for release on August 28. Announcing the release date, NetEase has also released a new gameplay trailer that you can check out below.

As the trailer showcases, Destiny: Rising’s gameplay will be a lot like what one expects from Destiny 2, although there also seems to be an option to play the game from a third-person perspective even outside of certain Super abilities. Aside from this, the trailer also gives us a good idea of what kind of csolo and co-op gameplay players can expect.

Listing off some of the features of Destiny: Rising, the trailer also gives us glimpses of a roguelike mode that players can take part in solo. The title will also feature six-player PvE activities, as well as PvP fights. Players can also explore the world to take part in world objectives alongside others.

With the release date of Destiny: Rising just a little over a month away, fans interested in grabbing the game as soon as possible can head to the Play Store or the App Store to pre-register for the game. Doing this will inform the player when the game becomes available to download.

Pre-registering for the release of Destiny: Rising will reward players with special bonuses, depending on how many pre-registrations the game has gotten. Currently pre-orders have apparently hit 5 million players, which in turn will reward each player with 10 free draws when the game comes out.

Destiny: Rising puts players in the shoes of a Lightbearer dubbed in-game as the Wolf. Players will be able to play as iconic characters from the Destiny franchise like Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder, and make use of the unique abilities that these characters have to offer. Players can also equip a Relic that gives them different abilities and Super abilities.

When it comes to minute-to-minute gameplay, players will be able to equip a customisable Primary weapon, as well as a Power weapon that allows them to take on the different kinds of enemies. The game will also feature a Mythic-tier rarity for gear, as well as an entirely new weapon type.

Destiny: Rising was originally announced back in October 2024. NetEase Games has also held a series of closed alpha tests to give some players a look at the upcoming title, as well as to get more feedback in developing and balancing it.

“With Destiny: Rising, NetEase Games is honored to partner with Bungie to deliver a Destiny-caliber experience to mobile devices,” said said NetEase Games senior vice president Ethan Wang when announcing the title. “Destiny is an incredible franchise with a passionate and dedicated global fanbase. As huge fans ourselves, we are humbled and thrilled for the opportunity to bring gamers an action-packed RPG shooter set within the Destiny universe.”

NetEase Games has also confirmed that Destiny: Rising will not have an affect on the main story in Destiny 2, since it takes place in a separate timeline set directly after the events known as The Collapse.
