Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Kevin Afghani Voicing Mario and Luigi

Afghani replaces the legendary Charles Martinet, who stepped down from the role last August to become a “Mario Ambassador.”

With Super Mario Bros. Wonder out soon on the Nintendo Switch, actor Kevin Afghani revealed on Twitter that he voices Mario and Luigi.

“Incredibly proud to have voiced Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Thanks to Nintendo for inviting me into the Flower Kingdom!” Afghani’s last major video game role was in Genshin Impact as the event-exclusive NPC Arnold. He replaces Charles Martinet, who retired from voicing the character in August after nearly three decades to become “Mario Ambassador.”

Super Mario Bros. Wonder launches on October 20th for Nintendo Switch. It sees Mario and friends, including Princess Peach, Daisy, Luigi and Toad, battling against Bowser to restore order to the Flower Kingdom. The 2D side-scroller offers several new power-ups, including Elephant, Drill and Bubble, and new mechanics like Wonder Flowers, which alter levels in surreal ways.
