Along with game speed, shortcuts and Chase Assist, there are Challenge Modifiers for adjusting enemy health, damage and stealth awareness.
After revealing a partial Trophy list for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games has fully detailed the superhero title’s accessibility options in a new PlayStation Blog post. It carries features from previous titles and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart while introducing new features like Challenge Level Modifiers.
These cover Enemy Health, Enemy Damage and Stealth Awareness, which can be set to Friendly, Amazing and Spectacular. You can also enable Chase Assist, “reducing the target’s top speed, increasing time windows before escaping, automatically attaching when a target is in range, and readjusting the camera to the target when you press R3.”
You can also autocomplete quick time events (QTEs), enable tap to hold instead of repeated button presses, and more. Shortcuts can also be assigned to the left or right D-pad buttons, like toggling High Contrast gameplay, Photo Mode or adjusting the game speed (with 30, 50 and 70 percent options).
More options are coming in December 2023, including Audio Descriptions for cinematics, QTEs and more, with support for English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Japanese. Screen Reader and captions for cinematics, environment sound FX and more, are also confirmed. Finally, the title will support Access Controller for PS5 when it launches on December 6th.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20th for PS5.
