The update also adds new brutality settings in the Options menu, in addition to various fixes and adjustments.
Techland has kept up a steady cadence of updates for Dying Light 2 Stay Human since its launch a year and a half ago, and another new update has now gone live for the post-apocalyptic action RPG, bringing plenty of new things to the table.
Dubbed the Summertime Update, in addition to various smaller in-game fixes and adjustments, the update also now adds the ability for players to skip the prologue on a new save and jump directly to the next quest, as well as Brutality Level settings to let players (and streamers in particular) decide how bloody the game will (or won’t) be.
Meanwhile, all players have also been given 500 Dying Light Points to purchase cosmetics with, while Techland has also added new animations for the Bowie Knife and Negan’s Knife from the recent Walking Dead crossover event. Speaking of which, a Payday 2 crossover event has also gone live with the Summertime Update, giving players the chance to nab some Red Diamonds.
Finally, Techland has also enabled integration with Mod.io in Dying Light 2’s console versions, which means players can now enjoy community maps in the game on all platforms.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be getting a second expansion sometime in 2024.
