Players will be returning to Moria in the upcoming survival crafting game The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria next month.
Developer Free Range Games and publisher North Beach Games have announced that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be coming to PC (through the Epic Games Store) and PS5 on October 24. The Xbox Series X/S version of the game has been pushed back to early 2024.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria takes place during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, and has players go to the Misty Mountains thanks to a summons by Lord Gimli Lockbearer. Players play as a company of Dwarves tasked with reclaiming the treasure lost within Moria.
Gameplay in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will involve plenty of digging, as you might expect from a group of Dwarves. Players will be able to create their own custom Dwarf, and deck them out in different types of equipment as the descend into the ever-challenging depths of a procedurally-generated Moria.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria got a gameplay trailer back in June during the Summer Games Fest, showcasing some of the game’s survival/crafting-based gameplay.
