The sequel also includes a new Tac-Stance Movement, a new Perk system, and After-Market Parts for Gunsmith customization.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is having its worldwide reveal today, but there’s already some official information to digest. Activision already revealed Call of Duty HQ, a one-stop destination for all content in the series, but there’s more. In the same blog post, it confirmed Open Combat missions in Modern Warfare 3’s campaign.
What “Open Combat” means remains to be seen, but it could indicate missions that don’t follow a linear path and offer sandbox-style freedom. There will also be a new Perk system and Combat Vests, a new Tac-Stance movement and new After-Market Parts for the Gunsmith.
As for Zombies fans, players can expect the “largest Zombies offering to date.” Again, what this entails is unknown, but if the rumors are true, it could be similar to Outbreak 2.0 and ship as a free-to-play title. Most of this may not be showcased with today’s official reveal, but Activision will drop more details in the coming weeks.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th and is confirmed for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
