The likes of Totodile, Chimchar, Squirtle, Snivy, Treecko, and other starter Pokemon from past generations have been revealed for the two-part expansion.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetâs upcoming two-part expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, is looking like itâs going to be a sizeable new offering, and The Pokemon Company has dropped further new details on what itâll bring with a new trailer.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will be adding over 230 Pokemon to the base gameâs Pokedex, many of which have now been confirmed to be starter Pokemon from past generations. The trailer, which you can view below, showcases the likes of Totodile, Chicorita, Chimchar, Squirtle, Mudkip, Treecko, Snivy, and more.
Four new moves will also be added to the game with the expansion- Psychic Noise, which deals damage and prevents your opponent from healing; Upper Hand, which strikes before an opponentâs priority move; Thunderclap, which strikes before a targetâs attack; and Tachyon Cutter, which is guaranteed to hit twice in a row.
Meanwhile, the type matchups for the expansionâs two new Paradox Pokemon will be, with Raging Bolt confirmed as an Electric/Dragon type and Iron Crown confirmed as a Steel/Psychic type. Check out the trailer below for more details.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is set to release in two parts, with Part 1: The Teal Mask launching on September 13 and Part 2: The Indigo Disk arriving sometime this Winter. On September 1, a Mewtwo Tera Raid will also be added to the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet base game.
