Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 hopes to celebrate 50 years of hip hop by bringing two influential stars from the genre to the game.
Keeping up with its interesting range of collaborations, Activision has announced two new operators coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 as part of the game’s Season 5 update. Slated to become available when the new season drops on August 2, Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj will become playable operators in Call of Duty.
According to the Call of Duty Twitter account, the addition of Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj to Call of Duty is meant to be a part of a 50-year celebration of hip hop music. The game will also be getting new war tracks that will span “three decades of a culture that transcends music and gaming.”
Activision has currently been getting ready to unveil the next Call of Duty game, which is all but confirmed to be a sequel to the new Modern Warfare series, and titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Developer Sledgehammer Games seems to have started teasing the upcoming shooter, most recently by making changes to its Twitter profile.
