Digital Sun and Riot Forge’s 2D action RPG will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC
Riot Forge is moving full steam ahead with its plans of expanding the League of Legends franchise into new horizons, part of which is releasing a variety of indie-developed spinoffs in the League of Legends Story line of games. The second instalment in that series, The Mageseeker, was announced earlier this year and given a Spring release window, and now, a specific release date has been confirmed.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story will launch on April 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG). Developer by Digital Sun of Moonlighter fame, the action RPG will focus on magic-infused combat, starring Sylas as protagonist, and will be set in the city of Demacia. Check out its trailer below for a glimpse of what its gameplay will have in store.
The game will be priced at $29.99, while players will also have the option to shell out $39.99 on a Digital Deluxe Edition, which will also include a Silverwing Supply Station Pack, Home Sweet Cave Decorations, Exclusive Spells, and Unchained Skins. Pre-orders for both editions are now live on all digital storefronts, with an in-game Lost Silverwing being offered as a pre-order bonus.
Riot Forge will also sell a physical Collector’s Edition for $169.99, which will include a Sylas Statue, Art Book, Deluxe Art Print, Lux Comic Special Edition Hardcover, Sylas & Lux Enamel Pins and Soundtrack Vinyl, and an exclusive custom box.
Riot Forge has a couple more League of Legends spinoffs in the pipeline for 2023, with Double Stallion’s action platformer CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story set to release this Summer, followed by Tequila Works’ adventure game Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, which launches this Fall.
Recently, Airship Syndicate’s turn-based RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story was also ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
