New modes and improvements for parkour are also coming, and the Summer of Horrors event begins with new rewards to earn.
Techland’s newest update for Dying Light 2 Stay Human goes live today and adds more horror with darker nights and roaming Volatiles. Titled “Good Night, Good Luck” after the first game, it ensures tenser chases through the nighttime, as you either must sneak by Volatiles or use all your parkour know-how to escape when hunted.
To that end, the update also adds several improvements to the parkour. There are new Physical and Assisted Modes, improved in-air control and momentum retention. New color grading, like Harran Sunset to channel the first game and Darker Nights for even lower visibility, are also coming.
The update’s arrival also kicks off Summer of Horrors, which features new events as you loot items at night and earn rewards, like a sick crossbow, while evading Volatiles. Community Maps will also be available for PC players, with several new locations and objectives (console players get them later). Summer of Horrors ends July 13th, so jump in now.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review for the base game and the Bloody Ties DLC. A second paid DLC was scheduled for this year but has been delayed to 2024.
