Levolution was introduced back in Battlefield 4 where certain points on maps, players could interact with the map and trigger an event that would change the playing field on that map somewhat. This could range from flooding the entire map to having a dam collapse and a skyscraper collapse. On the leaked video below, you can see a crane collapse in the new version of the Mirak Valley map were it falls and blocks a certain amount of the map.

Whether or not this is gonna be only in this map and not in others or whether it’s timed or user interaction triggered is unclear but we’re glad to see it back as it was good fun in battlefield 4 and can’t wait to see more.

We didn’t see anything close to this from the four maps in the Open Beta, but there’s a chance DICE reserved this for the largest maps in the game, such as Mirak Valley, New Sobek City, and, based on leaks, the Season 1 map “Eastwood.”

Battlefield 6 will be available on October 10 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
