The new trailer features various live actors asking you to save them when the action RPG launches on June 6th for consoles and PC.
Diablo 4 has already received launch trailers for its story and gameplay before its release next month. Nevertheless, Blizzard Entertainment is going for the triple whammy with a live-action launch trailer. Check it out below.
The launch trailer features the main classes – the Barbarian, Rogue, Druid, Sorcerer and Necromancer – battling the forces of Lilith. However, the main focus is on actual people, begging you to save them. A child stands among burning wreckage and asks point-blank, “Will you save us?” A man who lost his horses says, “Whatever you can do. We beg you.”
Cowering as her town is attacked by demons, a woman pleads with you to end their terror. Lilith looms at the end behind the child, who then tells you to hurry. If that’s not the most blatant, appeal-to-your-emotions way of selling a $70 live-service action RPG with microtransactions and a Battle Pass, I don’t know what is.
Diablo 4 launches on June 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners gain early access on June 2nd, but pre-loads go live for everyone on May 30th.
