Players must select three negative perks before starting a Hardcore playthrough and deal with no fast travel or directions
Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received a major update last month with over 1,000 bug fixes and Barber Mode to adjust Henry’s hair and beard style. But what about Hardcore Mode? The game’s official Twitter announced it’s coming next week, though a specific date is pending.
It also showcases negative perks players can activate for a Hardcore run, each with unique effects. What does it all mean? As outlined in a Dev Livestream from last month, Bad Back means less carrying capacity and a chance to strain your back when bending over to pick up herbs or mushrooms. Heavy-Footed causes Henry to make more noise and shoes to deteriorate faster. Numbskull is a 20 percent decrease for experience gain, and so on.
There are ten negative perks, of which you must pick three before starting a Hardcore run. The mode also limits helpful UI elements, turns off fast travel, removes cardinal directions from the compass, and doesn’t show your position on the map.
Stay tuned for more details on the patch, including its release date, in the coming days. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
