Nintendo Switch 2 Launches in June, Pre-Orders Going Live April 9 – Rumour

Nintendo is set to fully unveil the long-awaited console with an imminent Switch 2 Direct next week, on April 2.

Full details on the Nintendo Switch 2 are set to be revealed at the upcoming April 2 Nintendo Direct, but ahead of time, it seems like details about its launch have potentially emerged.

As per a report published by Insider Gaming, the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to release sometime in June, as recent reports have suggested, with pre-orders set to go live on April 9. This is as per internal documents and emails from a “large” US retailer, as per the report, which also claims that retails are expecting the long-awaited console to sell out on the first day that pre-orders go live, in spite of Nintendo’s efforts to have large amounts of stock available right out the gate.

Allegedly, a webpage with a “pre-orders coming soon” message will allegedly go live after the aforementioned Direct on April 2, with a countdown attached that will end on April 9. Those who pre-order the console will seemingly also get an exclusive collectible coin of some sort. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
