Sony will also sell a $229.99 Collector’s Edition of the title in North America and Europe, a prominent leaker claims.
2025 is supposedly the year that will see PlayStation resuming normal service as far as big, single-player releases are concerned, and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is obviously going to be a big part of that. When exactly in the year is the open world title going to release, however? Well, apparently, we’re going to find out soon.
Prominent leaker billbil-kun has claimed in a report published on Dealabs that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach pre-orders are likely to kick off sometime this month. The leaker also claims that in addition to a $69.99 Standard Edition (which will be available both physically and digitally), the game will also release with a $229.99 Collector’s Edition. The latter will reportedly be sold in North America and Europe, with no confirmation yet for any other region.
Of course, if pre-orders are going live this month, that would presumably mean a release date is also going to be announced. Director Hideo Kojima has confirmed that a new trailer is indeed set to be showcased soon, while a panel is also set for SXSW 2025 on March 9. That could be where the sequel gets a specific release date. Either way, stay tuned for further updates.
