Reviews for the highly anticipated open world action-adventure sequel will start going live the day before its release, Metacritic has revealed.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s long-awaited launch is finally right around the corner, and on the even of its release, reviews from a number of outlets and publications will also be going live, as revealed recently by Metacritic on Twitter.
Linking to a list that ranks every The Legend of Zelda game from worst to best, Metacritic stated that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be added to the list at 5 AM PT on May 11 (or in 19 hours’ time at the time the tweet was published). The ranking in question ranks all games based on their Metacritic scores, which means Metacritic will start listing reviews for Tears of the Kingdom at the aforementioned time.
In the lead-up to the game’s launch, Nintendo has also been publishing interviews with its developers that have revealed some interesting tidbits. It has been confirmed, for instance, that Tears of the Kingdom will feature traditional Zelda dungeons, while series producer Eiji Aonuma may also have hinted at its placement on the series’ timeline.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is due out for the Nintendo Switch on May 12.
