Grand Theft Auto 6 is Still on Track for Fall 2025 Launch – Take-Two Interactive

2025 will be “an inflection point” for Rockstar Games’ parent company, thanks largely to Grand Theft Auto 6’s long-awaited release.

Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive stated close to a year ago that Grand Theft Auto 6 would launch sometime in Fall 2025. Given Rockstar’s remarkably consistent knack for delaying games, many remain skeptical about whether the long-awaited open-world crime epic will release this year.

Take-Two, for its part, insists that it will. The company has stressed time and again that Grand Theft Auto 6 is indeed on track for this Fall. During Take-Two’s recent quarterly fiscal report, it reiterated the title’s launch date as “Fall of calendar 2025.”

Meanwhile, during an earnings call, CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated that the 2025 calendar year is “an inflection point” for Take-Two, in large part due to the release of GTA 6.

“We are forecasting Calendar Year 2025 to be an inflection point for Take-Two – from the groundbreaking release of Grand Theft Auto 6 to the unmatched pipeline that 2K is set to deliver,” he said. “As we introduce hit products to our passionate communities of fans, we are confident that we will usher in a new period of growth and returns for our shareholders.”

In addition to Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two is also expecting the launch of Civilization 7, Borderlands 4, and Mafia: The Old Country this year.
