When Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was released in 2017, one of the biggest critiques was the shift in art style from previous entries. Moving from a comic-book, 2D/3D cell-shaded style in previous games to a more realistic, plastic-like art, fans weren’t excited by the change. Among many other issues, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite opened up to some rather lackluster reviews. So, to the surprise of many, a fan project kicked off earlier this year that would revamp the art of characters. Little did the creators of this project know that soon after its reveal, high-profile streamers would take notice and even begin backing the project, turning it into something far bigger than anyone could expect.
Well, the day has finally arrived. The team behind the project has announced that it will be officially available this Friday.
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite & Beyond Not Only Fixes the Art But Also Features Improved Gameplay, New Modes, and More
Talk about massive improvements! The new art direction suits the game better than the official one, and the added gameplay and other improvements all look like welcomed additions.
This will certainly breath some new life into the titles, and I cannot wait to try it for myself! Luckily for all of us, the mod, which is free, will be available to download on PC starting this Friday, December 20.
