The co-op survival horror launches with one map, permadeath, and more. It plans to remain in early access for “at least one year.”
Years after its announcement and following delays, Torn Banner Studiosâ No More Room in Hell 2 enters Steam Early Access on October 22nd. As a sequel to the 2013 survival horror title (which started life as a Half-Life 2 mod), it retains the eight-player co-op aspect and zombie slaying. Check out the announcement trailer below for some short new gameplay.
On Steam, the developer confirmed it plans to remain in early access for âat least one year.â It will include permadeath characters, multiple enemy types, âunique âenemy encounterâ momentsâ, various melee and ranged weapons, a dismemberment system for zombies, traps, explosives, and an evolving narrative. Only one map, Power Plant, is available, but it will have âover a dozen places of interestâ with âpuzzle-like objectives and rewards.â
Torn Banner plans to include additional maps, weapons, storylines, and customization in the full version. While the early access pricing is yet to be announced, it will be âreasonableâ (with an expected increase en route to the full version).
