Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft Collaboration Trailer Showcases New Skins

Reinhardt, Zenyatta, Widowmaker, and Torbjorn are getting new skins. A new mode is also seemingly inbound for Alliance and Horde battles.

After Diablo, Overwatch 2 is preparing to collaborate with another Blizzard Entertainment franchise – World of Warcraft. It’s live on September 17th and adds new skins for Widowmaker, Zenyatta, Reinhardt, and Torbjorn. Check out the first trailer below.

Reinhardt is the Lich King, complete with Frostmourne replacing his hammer. Widowmaker is Sylvanas Windrunner, seemingly wielding a bow instead of her sniper rifle. Zenyatta gets a Thrall skin, for some reason, while Torbjorn’s Magni Bronzebeard skin returns but is now made of diamond to match his current role in the WoW lore.

Outside of new skins, there will also seemingly be a mode where players can fight as the Alliance or Horde in matches. How this will work remains to be seen, so stay tuned.

Overwatch 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Season 12: New Frontiers is ongoing, with Juno added as a new Support character and Clash available as a new core mode. Stay tuned for updates, including the mid-season balance patch.
