RIDE 5 Announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC; Launches in August

The next instalment in Milestone’s motorcycle racing sim franchise will launch in August as the series’ first current-gen only game.

Milestone’s motorcycle racing sim series RIDE has delivered solid new outings on a pretty consistent basis over the last few years, and fans will soon have the chance to jump into another new game in the franchise. The Italian developer has announced RIDE 5, which is set to be the first current-gen only game in the series.

The developer says RIDE 5 will “immerse players in a comprehensive world where they will live their own riding journey, as they would if they could travel the world to race in the best location, with their dream bikes.” Players will take on recurring rivals that will each have their specific backgrounds, while you will also have access to a dedicated HQ with mechanics and equipment.

The game is making improvements on the technical front as well, with new 3D procedural clouds and a dynamic weather system that will “generate realistic weather changes during races.” There’s also a new Race Creator, which will allow players to create “unlimited customized racing scenarios”, and “an enhanced set of riding aids” to “ease the learning curve” for newcomers.

Check out the reveal trailer below for a look at the game in action.

RIDE 5 will launch on August 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
