The demo offers the first chapter (and major boss fight) for players to try for free, with save data carrying over to the game.
Koei Tecmo’s Rise of the Ronin may not have garnered universal praise among critics (check out our review here), but it has done financially well for the publisher. Nevertheless, if you ever wondered whether it’s worth taking the plunge, a free demo is now available to download from the PlayStation Store.
The demo consists of the first chapter, where players venture to Yokohama, exploring the wider world and completing various activities. You can assail enemy camps, hunt down Fugitives for rewards, and more, culminating in a boss battle against Gonzo. If you purchase the game, save data from the demo will transfer over.
Rise of the Ronin is currently available for PS5. It received a major update in May, adding new Ally Missions on Midnight difficulty, two new set bonuses, the Path of Chaos mission with varying enemies on each attempt and training against opponents like your Blade Twin. Stay tuned for more details on future updates.
