Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica Remakes Will Also Launch for Switch 2

A known leaker has corroborated recent claims that remakes of the two Resident Evil titles are in the works, and claimed that they will also release for the next Nintendo console.

If recent leaks are to be believed, Capcom is currently working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, and though most would have expected that neither of the two would be a likely candidate to get the next remake, it’s continuing to look likelier that the leak may indeed be accurate.

For starters, the claims, originally made by prominent leaker Dusk Golem, have been corroborated by several other sources, including VGC’s Andy Robinson on Twitter, Universo Nintendo’s editor-in-chief Felipe Lima, and IGN.

Additionally, Lima has also claimed that both Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica will also launch natively for the next-gen Nintendo console, which is set to be officially unveiled in the coming months. Whether the two remakes will come to the Switch’s successor day and date or get delayed releases on the platform remains to be seen.

That said, if past leaks are to be believed, a large number of major third-party multiplatform releases are going to release for the Switch 2 as well. Allegedly, that includes the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds, Far Cry 7, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 3 Reload, Persona 6, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, and more.

As for the Nintendo Switch 2 itself, reports have claimed that it will launch in March 2025.
