Wayfinder Upcoming Update Removes Online Requirements, Studio Plans To Turn It Into A Single Player Experience

Airship Syndicate will be resuming sales from June 11, and Wayfinder will be retailing at a price of $29.99 on Steam Early Access.

Developer Airship Syndicate’s MMO Wayfinder hasn’t been going at the smoothest pace, and the upcoming Echoes update will be making some big moves to turn its fates around for the better. Post the release of the update on May 31, Wayfinder’s online requirements for play will no longer exist.

Wayfinder will function as a single-player game with cooperative play being an optional mode, and this comes shortly before the full release of the game on June 11. This update will additionally make weapon drops random, armor will now have stats among a slew of other streamlined progression elements.

Previously, Wayfinder disabled sales since the developers were working on the aforementioned changes – and it would resume once again starting June 11 with the price being $24.99. PlayStation players will also be receiving the same changes, but those will be coming at a later unconfirmed date.

On that note, it’s also important to mention that support for PS4 will be dropped and players will be receiving free upgrades to the PS5 version. As for an Xbox Series X/S release, the developer will be issuing an update at some point later in the year.
