The enhanced version of Shin Megami Tensei 5 is out on June 14th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
A new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, the enhanced version of the 2021 RPG, is now available. Nahobino’s new form is in action, alongside some of the new Demons to recruit, but more than anything, its tone is foreboding. Of the coming apocalypse to ensure the “ideal world.” Check it out below.
The trailer also highlights changes made to Da’at, the alternate post-apocalyptic Tokyo that the Nahobino traverses. It’s part of the new story route, Canon of Vengeance, which sees players embarking on a similar journey to the original before deviating heavily in the middle. Producer Shinjiro Takata promised over 75 hours of additional gameplay in this route.
Even the soundtrack has seen a heavy revamp, with over 80 percent redone and 20 fresh battle themes added. Then there’s Yoko Hiromine, a character conceptualized during the original game’s development who serves as a playable party member. She seemingly has a dark past, which the new antagonists seek to leverage.
Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance is available on June 14th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It will receive a playable demo at Atlus Fes on June 8th and 9th in Tokyo.
