Director Hideaki Itsuno also confirmed Pawns can buy unwanted items. You can also craft counterfeit items to complete quests.
The hype for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is picking up, and during Capcom Highlights Day 1, director Hideaki Itsuno dropped some new gameplay footage and details. Check it out below.
One of the more interesting bits is how you can bring monsters to towns, which sees the townspeople potentially helping to fight them. Depending on your actions, their behavior towards the Arisen can change. The world has over 1000 characters to interact with, and some may approach you with quests.
These can range from saving people attacked by monsters to sneaking around and stealing items. You can also make counterfeit items and see if they’ll pass as the real thing. Itsuno also spoke a bit more about Pawn Specializations, including one that will purchase any unwanted items. He also revealed that the Sphinx, an optional boss that players can find, maybe encountered elsewhere while roaming the map.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out on March 22nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A free Character Creator and Storage is available, allowing players to create their Arisen and Main Pawns to use in the game.
