Also available on Nintendo Switch, progress from the demo carries over to the game when it launches on March 8th worldwide.
After its launch on Nintendo Switch, Unicorn Overlord’s demo is now available for Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. It’s free for all players, with progress carrying over into the game.
The demo showcases several aspects of the tactical strategy RPG, from combat and random battles to conversations and exploration on the world map, where you can gather random items. Players control Alain, former crown prince of the Kingdom of Cornia, on a quest to defeat the Zenoira Empire. Recruiting allies of different classes (with over 60 playable characters available) allows for building a sizable resistance to take back Fevrith.
There are Forts and towns to liberate, and rebuilding the latter lets you access the Tavern for meals. These can provide various benefits and also build Rapport with units. Vanillaware touts over 100 hours of gameplay for the title and its “largest amount of content” to date. Unicorn Overlord is out on March 8th, so stay tuned for more details before that.
